Jane Teranes Climate Change Education Requirement Committee En 10/10/23

A)
This committee shall consist of five ordinary members of the Division. It shall also have two undergraduate student representatives, who shall not have the right to vote. The chair of the committee may invite the Dean of Undergraduate Education, a representative from the Committee on Campus Climate Change, and a College Provost, who shall be selected by the Council of Provosts, to serve as consultants to the committee, without the right to vote. A member of the Undergraduate Council will serve as the chair of this committee. [see Bylaw 210]
B)
Duties:

1) This committee shall make recommendations to the Undergraduate Council on proposed new undergraduate courses and existing undergraduate courses that may be used for the purpose of fulfilling the Climate Change Requirement. [see SD 600.H]

2) This committee shall make recommendations to the Undergraduate Council on the criteria that courses are expected to meet to be used for the purpose of fulfilling the Climate Change Requirement.

3) This committee will report to Undergraduate Council the number of courses submitted but not recommended for approval and the rationale.
