Issues Under Review

Systemwide Academic Senate Chair Ahmet Palazoglu has requested faculty feedback on the interim report and recommendations of the Academic Senate Task Force on UC Adaptation to Disruptions (UCAD). The report provides a framework for potential actions and strategies to help the University maintain its excellence in teaching, research, and public service in the face of increasing and unpredictable external challenges that may require swift action. UCAD will continue its work this fall, developing further recommendations to enhance the University's ability to respond nimbly to emerging challenges while fostering broad consultation and upholding its core mission.

A link to the report is provided in the Resources box. Faculty who wish to comment are welcome to do so. All comments submitted to the Senate office by October 22, 2025 will be included in the review materials for Senate Council consideration. Faculty may also send comments directly to the Systemwide Academic Senate at AcademicSenateUCAD@ucop.edu.
