Issues Under Review

Vice President for Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer Van Williams has requested the Senate’s review of proposed Presidential Policy IMT-1300: Information Technology Accessibility. The proposed policy revisions aim to enhance digital accessibility by aligning technical standards with accessibility regulations, establishing accessible course content programs, and providing guidance on procurement of accessible products. The revisions also establish processes for exceptions, complaints, and reporting requirements. 

A link to the policy is provided in the Resources box. Unlike typical policy review requests, a redline version of this policy is not included as the policy was substantially rewritten. The current version of the policy is available here: IMT-1300. Faculty who wish to comment are welcome to do so. All comments received by November 26, 2025 will be included in the review materials for Senate Council consideration.
