Associate Vice President of Academic Health Sciences Deena Shin McRae has requested the Senate’s review of revisions to the Presidential Policy on Anatomical Donation Program and Anatomical Materials. The proposed policy revisions clarify that UC will not accept unclaimed human remains or unrepresented donors for education and research, add California State Universities and Community Colleges to the allocation hierarchy, and replace the current approval process with informational training.
A link to the proposal is provided in the Resources box. Faculty who wish to comment are welcome to do so. All comments received by February 27, 2026 will be included in the review materials for Senate Council consideration.
