Issues Under Review

Systemwide Deputy Provost Amy Lee and Vice Provost of Faculty Affairs and Academic Programs Monica Varsanyi have requested the Senate’s review of proposed revisions to the interim Systemwide Guidelines on Faculty Discipline, the Faculty Code of Conduct (APM-015), and the University Policy on Faculty Conduct and the Administration of Discipline (APM-016). The proposed policy revisions and guidance documents respond to a request from the UC Board of Regents to reduce the time that it takes to resolve faculty discipline cases, and promote consistent application of discipline across the system, while remaining fundamentally grounded in joint governance.

A link to the documents is provided in the Resources box. Faculty who wish to comment are welcome to do so. All comments received by October 22, 2025 will be included in the review materials for Senate Council consideration.
