Operating Procedures

The Manual of the Academic Senate codifies membership, authority, organization and academic requirements. The Manual is divided into three sections: Bylaws that set forth the membership, authority and organization of the Senate, the Regulations that define the requirements for admission, degrees, scholarship, and courses and curricula, and Appendices that include Standing Orders of the Regents, various student policies, and bylaws of the faculty of the San Diego division of the Academic Senate.

Educational policies encompass University of California Systemwide and UC San Diego divisional regulations, bylaws, appendices and practices for undergraduate and graduate education.
