Read the Senate Ad Hoc on Distance Education's final report. The ad hoc previously submitted initial recommendations to the Senate in Spring 2023, focusing on short-term actions to update the Policy on Distance Education Courses and streamline the process for creating and approving distance education courses in the 2023-24 academic year. The recommendations provided in this report focus on medium- to long-term opportunities and challenges associated with the integration of distance education courses into in-person degree programs at UC San Diego. The ad hoc’s first report is provided in Appendix 3.
