Representative Assembly

About the Assembly

Representative Assembly is the Divisional legislative body, composed primarily of Senate faculty representatives from academic departments, colleges, and schools. Conducted in accordance with the rules of parliamentary procedure, the Assembly considers proposals to modify Senate regulations which govern student admission, scholarship and degree requirements, proposals to establish new graduate degree programs, and proposals to modify Senate bylaws, which govern the conduct of Senate business. Updates from the Administration by the Chancellor or Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs are also regular agenda items.
