Degrees
Seventh College will recommend candidates for the degrees of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, with designations of major.
General Education Requirements
Synthesis: A three-course sequence that includes two lower-division courses of intensive instruction in university-level writing and one upper-division project-based course.
Arts: Two courses selected from an approved list.
Humanities: Two courses selected from an approved list.
Natural Sciences and Engineering: Two courses selected from an approved list.
Quantitative Reasoning: Two courses selected from an approved list.
High-Impact: One course selected from a variety of approved experiential learning options.
Transfer Students
Students who have completed their lower-division General Education requirements at an accredited four-year institution and students who have completed a system-wide or campus-wide approved core curriculum in a California community college prior to entering UC San Diego must complete one upper-division project-based course and one high impact course. All other transfer students must complete the same General Education requirements as in (B).
Satisfaction of American History and Institutions; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and the Entry Level Writing Requirement (ELWR).
Fulfillment of all general education requirements.
Completion of a departmental or program major.
A minimum of 180 units.
A minimum of 60 upper-division units.
At least 35 of the final 45 units completed at UC San Diego as an enrolled Seventh College student.
A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
