Grant E. Johnson (Economics)

Grant E. Johnson is a gifted, natural teacher whose dedication and clarity have made him an adored teaching assistant. His ability to motivate economics students to have passion about learning is extraordinary. Professor Julie Cullen commented, “He was by far the best teaching assistant I have ever had.” Mr. Johnson is known for creating a supportive, “family-like” environment that fosters student participation during class meetings. He relates extremely well with students and is very generous with his time. As one student put it, “He demonstrates a very strong understanding of the material but also knows how to effectively and efficiently teach the material. His explanations are very clear, and I felt very comfortable asking him for help. He was always willing to explain concepts several times until I had a complete understanding.” Mr. Johnson has contributed to the success of countless students; he is an unprecedented talent.
