Reports & Recommendations

In Spring 2021, UC Provost Michael Brown formed a joint Senate-Administration working group on mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on faculty. The systemwide report was distributed to the divisional Academic Senates and the Administration, and a link to the report is provided in the Resources box for faculty to review the Report’s recommendations.

The systemwide report complements the joint report from the UCSD Divisional Senate-Administration Workgroup on Academic Advancement in the Wake of COVID-19. The Divisional report and the Administration’s implementation plan were presented at the December 7, 2021 Representative Assembly meeting. Links to the Divisional report and the Academic Personnel Services Resource Page with updates on implementation are also available on the Senate website.

These reports focus on recommendations for academic advancement, as well as faculty research opportunities. The San Diego Divisional Senate is continuing to partner with both the Administration and systemwide Academic Senate to respond to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 on faculty.
