Dear UC Faculty and Instructors,
We write to ask you to participate in a survey being conducted by the UC Academic Senate on faculty and instructor experiences with remote instruction during the pandemic. Faculty were surveyed a year ago, but much has changed since we went suddenly to remote instruction in March of 2020. We need to have useful, current data to respond to policy initiatives from the Regents and the Legislature. To this end, this survey is being sent to all instructors of courses at each of the UC campuses.
The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete and must be completed by midnight on Sunday, May 23rd. We recommend that you complete the survey in one sitting - depending on your browser settings, you may not be able to return and pick up where you left off if you exit.
When you are ready to begin the survey, please use this link: https://ucriverside.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8cynoJKl6MIAj0q.
Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary, and your responses will be kept anonymous. If you have questions about the survey or how the data will be used, please contact the Assistant Director of the Systemwide Academic Senate, Michael LaBriola (Michael.Labriola@ucop.edu).
We hope you will participate in this survey and we look forward to understanding more about your experiences over the last year of remote instruction. Thank you also for all the work you have done for the University.
With our best regards,
Mary Gauvain
