The first meeting of the 2018-19 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at 3:30 p.m., in the Liebow Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building (2nd floor). The Notice of Meeting and all pertinent documents may be found in the Resources box on the right side of this page.
The Chancellor will address the Assembly at this meeting, EVC-Academic Affairs Elizabeth Simmons and VC-Research Sandra Brown will discuss cross-campus alignment of Research Scientist academic review and the establishment of the Research Scientist Committee on Academic Personnel, VC-Research Sandra Brown will discuss F&A/IDC costs and new federal requirements for grants, and the campus Human Resources-Benefits staff will discuss open enrollment. In addition, the Committee on Senate Awards will present the nominees for the 2018-2019 Faculty Research Lecturer Awards, Graduate Council will present a proposal for a five-year Bachelor of Arts/Master of Public Policy Program, and the Committee on Academic Freedom will discuss academic freedom.
