The first meeting of the 2016-17 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11^th at 3:30 p.m., in the Garren Auditorium of the Biomedical Sciences Building (first floor).  The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found at the following two locations:

(1)  On the Senate’s homepage under Assembly/Council Meetings, on the lower right side of the page.    

(2) On the Representative Assembly Schedule page.

The Chancellor will address the Assembly at this meeting.  Other speakers include Clifford Kubiak, Professor, Chemistry & Biochemistry, who will present a proposal for UCSD to transition to NCAA Division 1 non-football; and Caprece Speaks-Toler, Compensation Director & Interim Benefits Director, and Jacqueline Edwards, Former Benefits Director (retired-recalled), who will discuss the 2017 Healthcare Changes and the UC Survivor’s Benefit for Domestic Partners.  In addition, proposals to create a new MS in Drug Development & Product Management and to discontinue a five-year BA/MS degree in Psychology will be presented.
