The results of the May 2017 election are as follows:

• Vice Chair (Chair Designate) of the Division for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2019. The first year will serve as Vice Chair and the second year as Chair of the San Diego Division.

• Divisional Representatives to the systemwide Assembly of the Academic Senate for a two-year term, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2019.

  Joseph Pogliano (Professor, Molecular Biology)

• Divisional Representative to the systemwide Assembly of the Academic Senate for a one-year term, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018.

  Deborah Hertz (Professor, History)

• Member of the Committee on Committees for a three-year term, effective September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2020.

  Wendy Campana (Professor, Anesthesiology)
  Stefan Tanaka (Professor, Communication)

The number of valid ballots cast in this election was 531, which represents a 23.5% turnout of the current Senate membership.
