Issues Under Review

Dear Colleagues:

A new systemwide Open Access Policy on graduate students’ theses and dissertations has been proposed. A cover letter from UC Provost & Executive Vice President Michael Brown, the draft policy, and frequently asked questions are posted under "Resources" on this page.

The timeline for the Senate’s consideration is as follows:

• February 2, 2018: Responses due
• February 12, 2018: Senate Council consideration
• February 21, 2018: Divisional response to Academic Council
• February 28, 2018: Academic Council consideration

All comments received by the response date will be included in the review materials for Senate Council discussion.
