Issues Under Review

Deputy Provost Amy Lee and Interim Vice Provost Douglas Haynes have requested the Senate’s review of the proposed revisions to Academic Personnel Manual (APM) 500, Recruitment- General. The proposed technical policy revisions are in response to two new bills signed into state law that add and amend sections 92612.1 and 92612.2 of the California Education Code, effective January 1, 2025. The new laws require academic or administrative applicants to disclose information related to misconduct decisions.

A link to the revisions is provided in the Resources box. Faculty who wish to comment are welcome to do so. All comments received by May 2, 2025 will be included in the review materials for Senate Council consideration.
